Biography

Rohit Sen is a passionate Structural Biologist and PhD Scholar at IISER Berhampur, specializing in Cryo-Electron Microscopy (Cryo-EM). His research focuses on elucidating bacterial suicide mechanisms, aiming to uncover novel insights into programmed cell death pathways in microorganisms. He earned his Master’s in Marine Science (Biology) and Bachelor’s in Physiology from the University of Calcutta, where he developed a strong foundation in biological systems.

Rohit was awarded the prestigious CSIR-UGC JRF in 2022 with an All India Rank of 83. Actively engaged in the scientific community, he collaborates on projects integrating Cryo-EM techniques with biochemical analyses. His work contributes to advancing structural biology tools for understanding microbial behavior and cellular processes.
