We Study the Building Blocks of Life to Tackle Health and Science Challenges
At IISER Berhampur, our lab investigates the structure and function of biomolecules to better understand their roles in health and disease, with applications in drug discovery and biotechnology.
01
Exploring Molecular Structures
We investigate the three-dimensional structures of proteins and nucleic acids using techniques such as X-ray crystallography and cryo-electron microscopy, aiming to uncover molecular mechanisms of disease and enable structure-guided drug discovery.
02
Integrating Computation and Experiment to Understand Molecular Behavior
We integrate experimental work with computational modeling to predict molecular behavior, helping to design targeted experiments and accelerate drug discovery efforts.
03
Studying Molecular Interactions
We examine how molecules connect, fold, and change shape to understand their stability—key for developing effective medicines.
